Sketch Book Developement Course

Thanks to the recommendation of Sue Burgess, I joined Rosemary Firth‘s Sketch Book Development Course for textile artists and art students.

For the first assignment, we took close up photos, verbalized and worked from there.

  1. Hi Lyn,
I love the photos and you have some fun ideas coming out of them. The first two pages are crammed with interesting images, but you seem to lose momentum a little in the middle. Did you reach any conclusions from all the experiments? It would be nice to see maybe a larger more finished piece, or a textile work coming from it. If you work like me though you experiment to your heart’s content, but hardly ever reach the end. The last of your pages looks promising, maybe you could use the stencils and ‘dabby’ marks on fabric.
